They both have different working principles, such as vacuum cleaner is made to vacuum, and extractor is made for extracting the dust. Basically, the extractor works on low velocity high airflow. On the other hand, the vacuum works with high velocity and low airflow. However, the extractor comes with a large diameter hose for industry or big home renovation or construction projects. In contrast, the vacuum cleaner is made for light uses, like a household.
