- First of all, take a clean and dry piece of cloth. Now, pour a few drops of olive oil on the rag. It’s required to soften the finish.
- Now, put the rag on the paint spots, use a putty knife or something little solid like a credit card, and start wiping on the paint. Keep in mind placing the plastic putty knife on the rag, not on the direct paint surface. However, direct use of the knife may damage your finish.
- Therefore, wipe out the excessive oil if left. Again, use a dry and clean cloth.
- In this position, if you encounter any remaining paint. Here, it would help if you use mineral spirit to remove the leftover paint. Again, pour a few drops of mineral spirit on the furniture surface and wipe with the clean and dry rag. Hopefully, this will work now.
